13/4/2024 · I have a big (old) cnc lathe with a turret block that is only " wide. It's not worth shit at boring, except with very short bars. By comparison, my manual lathes have multifix tool posts, with blocks that are approximately 6 inches long, the clamp screws are probably 5" apart, compared to about a " separation of the setscrews in the turret.
